This file was contributed for use in the NEGenWeb Archives by Carol Tramp Permission granted by: Rob Dump, Editor, Cedar County News ====================================================================== JAMES WARNOCK, 77, IS BURIED AT WYNOT Retired farmer died in Norfolk Hospital Sunday [June 27, 1943] Wynot - Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church here Tuesday afternoon for James Warnock, 77 year old retired farmer who died at the hospital in Norfolk, Sunday. He had been in poor health for the past three years. Rev. Frank Jackson officiated at the services and burial was in the Wynot Cemetery under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Will Schaller, Lewis Lauritzen, Guy Orr, Joseph Brown, and A.W. Jones, all of Wynot. Mr. Warnock is survived by his widow; two sons, Guy of Yankton and Errol of Wynot. Three daughters, Mrs. Iva Trower of St. Louis, MO., Mrs. Virgie Reese of Madison, and Mrs. Vida Heil of Wynot. A brother Phillip of Walthill, a sister, Mrs. Alice Chamerlain of Oak Harbor, WA.. a step-daughter Mrs. Fred (Madge) Ritter of Mitchell, SD., and 13 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Born at Fergus Falls, Canada July 16, 1866, Mr. Warnock came with his family to the United States when he was four years old. He spent most of his life in Nebraska. Mr. Warnock was married December 26, 1892 to Nettie Trefren. They had five children. In October 1905 he was married to Jennie Smith Williams.
