Visitation was Jan. 19 at the Kostel Funeral Home, Yankton, S.D. A rosary and scripture service was held later that evening at Holy Family Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception Church), St. Helena. Mass of Christian Burial was Jan. 20 at Holy Family Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception Church), with Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, rural St. Helena, with military graveside rites by the Wynot American Legion Post #31. Pallbearers were nephews Ron Wieseler, Kevin Wieseler, Bill Burbach, Gary Dickes, Lyle Wieseler, Doug Gale, Kent Heine, Mike Leise, Tyler Jo Leise and Phil Wieseler. Honorary pallbearers were Bob and Anita Potts, Junior and Nadine Ketter, Maurice cand Diane Wuebben, Dean and Lori Bruening, Renee Bruening, Bob and Norma Bender, Loren and Ruth Bender, Cletus and Clara Schmidt, Chris and Catherine Kathol, Jerry and Jenny Promes, and Daryl and Jennifer Sudbeck. Ushers were Jim Anderson and Mark Burbach. Art was born April 22, 1937, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, S.D., to Fred and Katie (Klug) Wieseler. He was a full-time dairy farmer and owned and operated a milk truck. His life was filled with playing, coaching and umpiring baseball, as often as five times a week. He continued with his involvement until his sons and grandsons were able to continue the tradition. Art is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon, Wynot; three sons and spouses, Dean, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Steve and Tammy, Wynot; and Luke, Wynot; three daughters and spouses, Carmen and Jude Backman, Appleton, Wis.; Karen and Doug Ekeren, Yankton, S.D.,; and Joselyn and Gary Arens, Crofton; 15 grandchildren; three brothers and spouses, Ralph and Mary, St. Helena; Larry and Rosie, Hartington; and Joe and Romaine, St. Helena; four sisters and Spouses, Lou and Joe Burbach, Wynot; Sally Anderson, Hartington; Bea and Donald Dickes, Fordyce; and Gertrude and Wally Gale, Wanatchee, Wash.; and mother-in-law, Leone Leise, Yankton, S.D. Art was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerome; two daughters, Monica and Mary; and a granddaughter, Breanna Backman.
