Katherine Willms, 94, died, Feb. 24,1999, at her residence in Coleridge. Visitation was Feb. 26 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge. Funeral services were held Feb 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Rev. Norm Sulaica officiating. Burial was in Lawn Ridge Cemetery, Coleridge. Pallbearers were Bill Hefner, Doug Hefner, Patrick Brennan, Anders Christensen, Robert Nelson, Michael Hefner, Shelby Johnstone, Andrew Hefner and Steven Johnson. Mrs. Willms was born Nov. 11, 1904 to Bernhardt and Katherine M. (Teten) Bohlken in Laurel. She married William C. Wilims Nov. 4, 1926, in Coleridge. He died Oct. 2, 1980. She grew up in the Laurel area. After her marriage, she and her husband lived and farmed north of Coleridge. In 1952, they moved into Coleridge. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Carol and Elroy Hefner, Coleridge; Avis and Wendel Hefner, Sioux City, Iowa; Linda and Nile Johnson, Blair; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, a sister, Agnes Wellington, Rock Rapids, Iowa.
