MICHAELS' CEMETERY, Custer County, Nebraska

Also known as Mair Cemetery.  Travel 3 miles east of Callaway on the Ryno Road,
make a sharp turn north (or left) onto a minimum maintenance road, then go 1/2
mile more.  The cemetery is on the west side of the road.

This is an isolated cemetery, located on a hill east of town.  It was fenced at
one time but the fence is gone now.  It is not pastured, but the grass is cut
for prairie hay.  A family by the name of Michael owned the land and lived below
the hill and across the road east of the cemetery.  Some grave sites are not
identified, some were buried there and later moved to Rose Hill cemetery.

(son of Emma Little & U. S. Province, Emma was the daughter of William and Nancy
(Forth) Little - this information not on stone)

Purcell, infant baby of Mr. and Mrs. Ern Purcell (no dates)
