Howard A. Snider, 81, of Overton, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Great Plains
Regional Medical Center in North Platte. 

Funeral Services will be Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary
Assembly of God Church in Lexington with Pastor Ron Masten officiating. 
  
Burial will be at 2:30 that same afternoon at Purdum Cemetery near Purdum. 
  
Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. at the
Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. 
  
He was born April 19, 1929, at Broken Bow to Robert Lee and Henrietta (Smith)
Snider. 
  
Howard was united in marriage to Ida Mae Swisher on March 31, 1956, at Thedford.
 Four children were blessed to this marriage; Howard, Ruth, Nancy and Wanda. 
  
Howard worked for OK Luther Sand and Gravel at Broken Bow for many years as a
truck driver and pumped gravel until moving to Overton in 1969. When they moved
to Overton, Howard worked at the Alfalfa Mill and Elevator at Josselyn until it
closed.  He then worked for Red Ex in Elm Creek and worked many constructions
jobs, Mead Lumber in Lexington, pumped gravel for T and F Gravel from Odessa and
retired from the Alfalfa Company in Elm Creek in 2002.  
  
Survivors include his son, Howard (Levern) Snider of Overton; three daughters:,
Ruth (James) Bebb of Overton, Nancy (Ron) Borgmann of Bertrand, Wanda Snider of
Overton; 10 grandchildren, Evan (Annie) Bebb of Plainville, Kan., Christina
Frazey of Overton, Darin (Kelly) Snider of Norfolk, Va., Mandy (Kevin) Converse
of Lexington, Brooke Jackson of Overton, Phoebe Harriman of Overton,  Brandie
Borgmann of Bertrand, Corey Snider and special friend, Courtney Schmuecker of
Overton,  Brice Borgmann of Bertrand and Justin Snider of Overton; 12
great-grandchildren,  Tanner, Rebecca, Bradly and Lily Bebb; Sabrina, Garrett
and Zachary Converse; Damian Frazey, Thomas Jackson, Nicholas and Savannah
Snider; Isabelle Borgmann and Aybrie Schmuecker, as well as several nieces and
nephews and four sisters, Carol Huddleston of Tucson, Ariz., Donna Pflaster of
Cozad, Georgia Bollwitt of Beatrice and Ina Faye (Harry) Woolstrum of Ansley. 
  
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Henrietta (Smith)
Snider; wife, Ida Mae in 2003; one grandchild, Aaron in 1979; one great-great
grandchild; Adrian in 2006; three brothers, Rob Roy, Paul Alvin and Charles Ray
and four sisters, Josephine, Patricia, Shirley and Grace.
