Richard E. Wackerla, age 48 of Johnson Lake, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 
his home.

Memorial graveside services were held on Friday, April 18 at the St. Mary’s 
Catholic Cemetery in Oconto.

There was no visitation.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Wackerla of Broken Bow; one brother, 
Robert (Diann) of Axtell; one sister, Kathleen (Stephen) Orcutt of Kearney; 
two nieces, BethAnn and BreAnn Wackerla of Axtell and five nephews, Scott 
Orcutt, Jesse Leigh and Brandon Leigh of Kearney, Kendall Leigh of Longmont, 
Colo., and Shawn Orcutt of Fort Morgan, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis, in 2003 and grandparents.

Richard was born July 20, 1959 in Callaway to Louis and Dorothy (Landreth) 
Wackerla. He grew up in Callaway and graduated from Callaway High School.
