The Nebraska State Journal November 2, 1890

       State House Notes
   Sheriff James Dahlman of Chadron, Dawes county,
was at the state house yesterday settling with the
state auditor for his fees and mileage for having
landed in the penitentiary yesterday a colored
man named William Perin, who is sent up for fourteen
years for arson committed last August at Crawford.
