A memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held on Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. Brad was born July 24, 1947 at Gothenburg to T.A. and Doris (Adney) Andersen. He graduated from Cozad High School in 1965. In the fall of 1965, Brad entered the Army National Guard. On Sept. 5, 1969, Brad married Mary M. Whitfield at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad. The couple made their home in Cozad their entire married life. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Jennifer and Greg. Brad had worked with his father in the family implement business for most of his life. In 1977, he bought Andersen Implement from his father, and continued running the business until 2000. Following his work at the implement, Brad went on to work at Nebraska Plastics, Agrilliance and Whitney Sand and Gravel. Brad was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cozad. Survivors include wife, Mary Andersen of Cozad; daughter, Jennifer (Andy) Thill of Omaha; son, Greg Andersen of Cozad; mother, Doris Andersen of Cozad; sister, Loye Andersen of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Addison and Emily and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, T.A. Andersen, in 1995.
