Mona Marie (Fees) Aten, 77, of Golden, Colo., died Jan. 6, 2011 at Wheat 
Ridge, Colo.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Golden.

Private burial was at the Golden Cemetery.

Mona was born Dec. 22, 1933 to Jack and Millie Fees in Eddyville. She 
graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1951.

Mona was a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell.  She was married to James 
Aten on Dec. 27, 1952 in Eddyville.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Aten of Golden; children, Marcie, Jamie, 
Michael, Susan, Lisa, Chris and Dan; two sisters, Betty Lovitt of Oconto and 
Viva Kinney Wright of Minden; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a grandson, Billy 
Hight, in 2009.
