Olda Boubin, 48, died Sunday, Aug. 7 in Crookston, Minn.  

Mass of Christian burial was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna 
on Saturday, Aug. 13.
  
Visitation was Friday, Aug. 12 at Brick-Meger Funeral Home at 1603 – Austin 
Road, Owatonna, Minn.

A family rosary was recited at 8:00 pm and visitation continued until the 
funeral liturgy on Saturday.  

Olda was born Oct. 16, 1962 in Prague, Czechoslovakia to Vera and Anton 
Boubin.   His family escaped from Czechoslovakia in 1969 and was sponsored by 
the Sisters of St. Joseph in Crookston, Minn.

Olda was united in marriage to Ruth (Voller) Boubin on Aug. 19, 1989.  He was 
a loving father to seven children:  Emily, Antonin, Daniel, Kristine, 
Rebekkah, Damian and Kalina.   

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; four daughters, Emily of Omaha, Kristine, 
Rebekkah, and Kalina of Owatonna; three sons, Antonin, Daniel and Damian, all 
of Owatonna; his in-laws, Fred and JoAnn Voller and extended Voller in-laws, 
nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Vera.
