A memorial service will be held at a later date. Roger was born March 22, 1928, in Lexington, the son of Guy and Cora (Rasmussen) Bourn. He attended elementary and high school in Lexington and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.  On Nov. 6, 1949, Roger married his high school sweetheart, Darline Gierhan, at First Lutheran Church in Buffalo. After his father’s death, Roger assisted his mother in the hatchery business from 1948 – 1960.  He was a field man for CCA out of Kansas City for several years and then was a co-op manager for 15 years.  He was also a commodity broker on the Grain Exchange in Minneapolis for eight years. Roger became a Rotarian in Lexington and then organized and became president of two rotary clubs, one in Imperial, and one in Bowman, N.D.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed boating, oil painting and woodworking. Roger is survived by his wife, Darline Bourn of Bismarck; his daughter, Julie (Larry) Fadden Langemo of Bismarck; his son, Guy of Arlington, Va.; his son, Gregory (Sylvia) of Potomac, Md.; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Daniel; and his brother, Burrell.
