Jamie Lynn Riley Bowden, 38, of Grand Junction, Colo., died Wednesday, May 13, 
2009, at her residence in Grand Junction. 

Jamie’s body was cremated.  There will be no visitation. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the 
United Church of Sumner, East Campus with Pastor A.L. Cole officiating. 

Inurnment will be held in Westerville Cemetery at Westerville. 

Lunch will be held at the Eddyville Community Center prior to the Inurnment at 
the cemetery.

Jamie is survived by her three children, Courtney L. Bowden of Grand Junction; 
Lacey Ann Bowden and Tyler Layne Bowden, both of Sumner; her former husband, 
Donald Bowden of Sumner; mother, Geraldine M. Allen of Eddyville; father, 
Gerald W. Riley, Sr. of Southington, Conn.; brothers, Gerald W. (Shawn) Riley 
of Lexington, David Whitley and Robert Thompson, both of Pennsylvania; one 
sister, Lisa (Riley) Rheam of Pennsylvania; step-brother, Rick (Liz) Allen of 
Broken Bow; step-sisters, Julie Lockhart of Arizona and Joann Dunn of 
Nebraska; three aunts, Julie Kuhn of Halifax, Pa., Virginia White of Blue 
Rapids, Kan., Jacqueline Whitley of Kearney; an uncle, Clifford (Patty) 
Whitley of Ralston and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born Feb. 10, 1971, in South Charleston, W. Va., to Gerald W. and 
Geraldine M. (Whitley) Riley.  Jamie graduated from Sumner High School with 
the class of 1989, and went on to receive her degree in nursing at nursing 
college in North Platte.  She had practiced nursing for the past 19 years in 
the states of Nebraska and Colorado.
