D. on May 13, 2010. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Blase- Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St, Gothenburg. Burial will take place in the Buffalo Grove Cemetery outside Lexington. Whitney Dru (Deardorff) Buchholz-Lange was born May 6, 1976 in Gothenburg Nebraska to Craig Arnold and Charlene Louise (Palmateer) Deardorff. She graduated in 1994 from Gothenburg High School. Whitney was blessed with a son, Talbot Jaicob, on March 1, 1996. Together with Roy Buchholz, they became a family. She and Roy were married on Nov. 20, 1999. With this marriage she also gained three stepsons, Kory, Isaac and Caleb. Roy preceded her in death on March 23, 2009. She was employed by Tenneco from 1995 to 2007. After Roy was diagnosed with cancer she worked for a short time in Holdrege. She then went to work for the Comfort Inn in Lexington. She was most recently employed at Tri-County Hospital as an evening admissions clerk, a job she loved. In the summer of 2009, she and Patrick Lange were introduced and soon became inseparable. They loved to ride his Harley and spent much time on the bike. She and Pat were married on May 8, 2010. With this marriage she added four more children, Robert, Samuel, Amber and Zachery. She finally was “Mom” to eight children that she had always wanted. Whitney was known for her bubbly personality and vivacious smile. She was a loving daughter, mother, wife, sister and friend. Those who are left behind know how blessed they were to be a part of Whitney’s life; they will miss her terribly but also know that she will always be with them in their hearts and memories. She would want them to carry on and remember all the good times. Whitney was preceded in death by her first husband Roy; father Craig; grandparents, Carol Palmateer and Ross and Leoris Deardorff. She is survived by her husband Pat of Cozad; son, Talbot Buchholz; mother and second father, Charlene and Ralph Ogier; brother Tim Ogier, all of Gothenburg; sister, Nichole (Patrick) Maez of Cozad; grandparents, Allen (LaNora) Palmateer of Bartley; Garth (Bethel) Ogier of Wallace; stepsons Kory Wattier, Isaac and Caleb Buchholz, Robert, Samuel, and Zachery Lange; stepdaughter Amber Lange; mother-in-law and father-in-law Karen and Samuel Lange; sisters- in-law, Krista Lange, Donna (Lenwood) Mobley, Lois (Jim) Underwood; brother-in- law, John (Brenda) Buchholz, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
