She is survived by her parents, Ron and LaVonne Buettner of Lexington; three brothers, Ronald “Joe” (Lillian) Buettner of Holdrege, John (Kim) Buettner of Lincoln, William (Susan) Buettner of Lincoln; 17 nieces and nephews and several grand-nephews.   Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents.  She was born March 28, 1960, at Grand Island, to Ronald G. and LaVonne G. (Larsen) Buettner.   Susan was born premature with handicaps and her doctors did not expect her to live past the age of nine. But, Susan surprised all of her doctors and her family by living a happy life to the age of 49. She spent many years living in Beatrice at the Beatrice State Developmental Center (B.S.D.C.) and in October of 2008, moved to a group home in Bellevue because she needed more care and adjusted wonderfully there and was loved by every one.   Susie-Q and Miss Hollywood, as she was known by her caretakers, had a wonderful sense of humor, she could make you laugh in a second with her off the wall remarks and her sparkling smile. Susan loved Nebraska football, going to the library, shopping and the zoo. Susan also had a great love of music. She was especially close to her dad and although she is gone from this earth that bond will always be close.
