Beverly “June” Carpenter, age 74 of Austin, Texas, formerly of Cozad, died 
Wednesday, March 2, 2011.

June’s memorial service will be held at the Cozad Church of Christ, 2117 
Newell Street, Cozad on Monday, March 7, 2011, at 11 a.m. under the direction 
of Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.

June was born Sept. 13, 1936, at Greybull, Wyo., to Darrell and Arlene (Drake) 
Fellows.  She attended school in Cozad. 
 
June met and married Donald Dean “Pal” Carpenter on Jan. 14, 1957. 

June was preceded in death by her husband, Pal in 1993.

In 1999 she met Lloyd Hughes and together they settled in Ceres, Calif. 

June moved to Austin, Texas to be near her daughters in 2009. 

Survivors include her daughters, LeeLeen (Harold) Sundbeck of Austin, Valencia 
(Mark) Miller of Mont Belvieu, Texas; stepson, Donald (Louise) Carpenter of 
Cozad; stepdaughter, Margorie (Steve) Waldrop of San Benito, Texas; 21 
grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and 
friends.   

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons, Arthur 
Darrell and John Jay Carpenter.
