A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Visitation for memorial book signatures will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. An inurnment with military honors will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. He was born to Duard and Doris (Nylander) Cronn on April 21, 1943, in Holdrege. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1961 and from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1967. He married Karna Jensen of Des Moines, Iowa, on Dec. 12, 1965. Keith enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and completed Officers Candidate School in Newport, R.I. Keith shipped out for Vietnam in March of 1968 on the U.S.S. Furse, a destroyer. He returned to Virginia in December of 1968, and his daughter, Kirstin was born the same month. His son, Kjell was born in December 1969. Keith and Karna divorced in 1979 and he married Cynthia Keeney in 1980. They divorced in 1995. He taught in the Cozad City Schools from 1969 to 1973. He worked for Valley Vending Service (now VVS Canteen) from 1973 through 1990. He began another teaching career for the Cozad City Schools in 1991 and he retired in 2008. Keith is survived by his daughter, Kirstin Cronn-Mills (Dan) of North Mankato, Minn.; his grandson, Shae; his son, Kjell Cronn of Lincoln; his sister, Cathryn (Donald) Cronn Epp of State College, Pa.; his brother, John (Jane) Cronn of McFarland, Wis., as well as nieces, a nephew and their families. He was preceded in death by his father in 1967 and his mother in 2005.
