George P. Culver, age 89 of Cozad, died Jan. 26, 2008, at the Good Samaritan 
Hospital in Kearney.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Berryman Funeral Home in 
Cozad with the Rev. Lyle Schoen officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Berryman Funeral Home 
in Cozad.

Survivors include his three sons, Dean (Linda) and Dale (Kay) Culver, both of 
Omaha and Duane (Alice) Culver of Lincoln; two sisters, Ruth Jensen of 
Greenfield, Iowa and Ione Welcher of Merritt Island, Fla. 7 grandchildren, 
Wendy (Tim) Vershaw, Jennifer (Daniel) Wills, Angela (Jim) Hartline, Jamee 
(Jim) Gray, Cody (Jennifer) Culver, Amy Culver, and Kimbra Culver; and 11 
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby in 2001; his parents and a brother, 
Glen.

He was born Feb. 27,1918 at Greenfield, Iowa, to Harry and Ann (Wilson) 
Culver. He attended school at Adair County, Iowa.

On Oct. 21,1940, he married Evelyn Swing at Billings, Mont. To this union 
three sons were born, Dean, Dale, and Duane. 

He married Ruby B. Winson at Kearney in 1956.
