(Jewett) Finke, 56, of York, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Megan Morrow officiating. The casket will be closed. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Survivors include two sons, Gary Jewett of Beatrice, Jeremie Finke and his fiancé, Cheryl Farley of Geneva; one daughter, Kayla Finke of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Mike Jewett of Inavale; two grandchildren, Chandler and Xavier Finke and one on the way! Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Ann. Judy was born April 8, 1953, at Lexington to Robert Herman and Mary Maxine (Tinsman) Jewett. She attended school at Lexington public schools. Following her education she worked at Ruth’s Husky House in Lexington. She was united in marriage to Doug Finke in 1978, and two children were blessed to this marriage, Jeremie and Kayla. They joined a half-brother, Gary, which Judy had given birth to previously. After the couple’s marriage they moved to Kearney where Judy worked at Baldwin Filters and then the Kaufman-Werner Store. The marriage later ended in divorce. Judy then moved the Hastings, Harvard and then to York. She worked for the Petro Travel Center in York at the time of her death. Judy enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting hummingbirds. But, her true love was for her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. The family has the happy memory of being able to travel to Minnesota and visit the Mall of America, which was a dream come true for Judy. She will be very missed by her family and friends.
