Alvin A. Frerichs, 58, of Sumner, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Good 
Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the 
United Church of Sumner, East Campus, with Pastor Ken Hutson officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 2-5 p.m.  at the Reynolds-
Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

He was born Sept. 24, 1951 in Smith Center, Kan., to John M. and Eileene J. 
(Petersen) Frerichs.

He was united in marriage to Cindy Phillips on Dec. 28, 1973.  Alvin was owner 
and operator of Frerichs Trucking Company for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Frerichs of Sumner; sons, Andrew Frerichs of 
Sumner, Jacob Frerichs of North Carolina, John and Calvin Frerichs both of 
Sumner; daughters, Tammy (Chris) Dietz of Amherst, Jamie (Jason) Tellus of 
Wayne, Emma Frerichs of Kearney, Jennifer Frerichs of North Dakota, Anna 
Frerichs of Sumner; three brothers, four sisters, and many grandchildren.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna; son, Joshua and one 
grandson.
