Frost, 84, of Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Lexington, died Feb. 10, 2010 at Apache Junction. His life and his love of the Lord will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Lexington on Monday Feb. 15 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Colling officiating. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Arapahoe Cemetery at Arapahoe. There will be no visitation or vigil service. He was born July 26, 1925 to Harvey Frost and Mary Henderson Frost of Holbrook. Wayne graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1943, and proudly enlisted in the U. S. Navy, attending mid-shipmen’s school at Notre Dame University before receiving his commission as an Ensign aboard the USS Nicholas, a destroyer in the South Pacific. Following the end of WWII, he attended the University of Nebraska, receiving his bachelor of science in business administration in 1949.   Wayne married his loving wife of almost 60 years, Patricia (“Pat”) Condit Frost on Sept. 4, 1950 in Lincoln. He was the owner and proprietor of Frost’s Department Store, later Frost’s Fashions in Lexington, from 1963 until he retired at the age of 72 in 1997.   Over his many years in Lexington, he was active in the business community and in his church, St. Ann’s Catholic Church. He was a devoted member of St. George Catholic Church in Apache Junction. He loved to travel and fish, taking his family on annual camping trips across the entire western U.S. He was a life-long learner and voracious reader, primarily of historical books that chronicled the times and events that shaped our great nation. He wrote fantastic cards and letters to family members near and far away. He enjoyed quiet (and many times not so quiet!) times with his large family whom he dearly loved. He is survived by those blessed with memories, including his wife Pat of the home; son Mike (Karen) Frost of Aurora, Colo, son Steve (Diane) Frost of Asheboro, N.C., son Greg (Lisa) Frost of Mesa, Ariz., and son Tom (Kathy) Frost of Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Don, Earl and Harlin; sister, Mildred, and son Harvey.
