Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in Lexington with Pastor John Shields officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.  Ida was born Ida Fern Kipp in Trenton, on March 2, 1932, to Fern Kipp where she grew up in her grandparents’ home.  After moving to Lexington with her mother and aunt and uncle, she married Walter Garcia on Aug. 14, 1952.  They had two sons, Rick and Randy.  She lived with her family in Lexington where she worked at Hennek’s True Value and Five-Star Flooring.  She was a member of Parkview Baptist church where she had many friends.    Ida was very close to her husband’s extended family including the Garcia, Hueftle, Beruman and Carranza families.    Upon being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, Ida moved to Gothenburg where she was lovingly cared for by her son, Randy.  Ida is survived by her two sons, Rick (Bobbi) Garcia of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Randy (Cindy) of Gothenburg; eight grandchildren, Kim (Daryn) Swails of Kearney, Kris (Brad) Olson of Gothenburg, Misty (Matt) Krieser of Bellevue, Brian (Noni) Garcia of Tucson, Ariz., Bradley Garcia of Grand Island, Jason Block of Gothenburg and Andrew Block of Omaha; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fritzi Trent of Floro Vista, N.M., Jeannie Varea of San Antonio, Texas, Lannie Hill of Montgomery, Ala., and Cliff Kennie of Buena Vista, Colo., as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Garcia; mother, Fern Zaiontz and grandson, Robert Reinhardt.  File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ne/dawson/obits/g/garcia394gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nefiles/ File size: 2.4 Kb
