Services were held on Friday, Feb. 29 at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Pastor Harold Rhea officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. Visitation was Thursday at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Gibson and Twila Weible, both of Cozad; two sisters, Ila Libra of Elm Creek and Doris Ellenberger of Dayton, Ore.; sister in law, Amy Gibson of Athol, Kan.; four grandchildren, Scott Gibson, Jodi Myers, Jami Davis and Tamela Weible; and seven great- grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Claude in 1975; brother Ronnie; sister Lillian Philbrick and a great-granddaughter, Taylor. She was born May 4, 1921 at Kensington, Kan., to Roy and Sophie (Schafer) Winder. She graduated from Kensington High School in 1939, In 1941, she married James “Claude” Gibson at Alma.
