Todd Karges officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.   Visitation was held prior to the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Nickerson; five grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Nikki (Shari), Mark (Dawn) and Shannon and nine great-grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew, Simon, Sean, Timothy, Ashley, Benjamin, Christie and Leah.   Other close relatives are his sisters-in-law, Doris Beck and her children, Lee (Carolyn), Roxie (Gary), and Marcia (Drew), and Phyllis (Lee) Oberg and her children, Steve and Greg, and Lavere (Bill) Brinkman and her family, Ted, Jr. (Kelly) and Tammy.   Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Verda, who died in 1995; and brothers, Arthur, Robert, Ted, and sister, Lillian Alkire. He was born Oct. 5, 1913, at Callaway, to James and Louise (Johansen) Harvey.   Mike lived in Callaway until 1927 when his family moved to Dawson County. Mike enjoyed being a farmer and farmed north of town for 37 years.
