Ruth E. Hemphill, 82, of Lexington, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Bryan LGH 
Medical Center in Lincoln.

Services will be held (today) Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. at First United 
Methodist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Todd Karges officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.

Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle Hemphill of Lexington; her children, Dean 
and Kay Zimmerman of Mesquite, Texas; Sharon (Bob) Forrester of Arnold; Doris 
(Kim) Simmons of Bellevue, Charlene Zimmerman of Lexington; Doyle’s children, 
Jim (Wanda) Hemphill of Omaha, Joyce (Mike) Eaton of Barstow, Maine; Janice 
(Ken) Knecht of Omaha, Jerry (Marilyn) Hemphill of Cozad, June Hemphill of 
Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jay Hemphill of Lexington, Jon Hemphill of Omaha; one 
sister, Helen Dewey of Kimberly, Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death, by her husbands, Harold Zimmerman and Howard 
Robinson; her parents; son, Duane Zimmerman; brother, Walter Anderson, and 
sister, Marjorie Vance.

She was born June 21, 1925, at Cozad, Nebraska to Emil and Leta (Lanphear) 
Anderson.

She was united in marriage to Harold Zimmerman on Dec. 14, 1942, five children 
were blessed to this union, Dean, Sharon, Doris, Charlene and Duane. Harold 
preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1963. She was then united in marriage to 
Howard Robinson in 1965, he also preceded her in death. She then married Doyle 
Hemphill on July 21, 2000, at Jeffrey Lake.
