A Memorial Service will be held March 28, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Todd Karges officiating. There will be no visitation. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy (Larry) Foster of Lincoln and one son, Tom (Kathy) Housel of LaQuinta, Calif; five grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Diane; his wife, Betty; and three younger brothers, Lauren, Wayne, and Dean.   He was born Oct. 21, 1915, to Floyd Everett and Mildred (Barger) Housel in Williamsburg, Iowa. The family moved to Hebron in 1928, then to Lexington in 1931.  Floyd graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1933. He attended Kearney State College from 1933-1935, then transfered to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he joined the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and graduated in 1938.  He was united in marriage to Betty Jane Hume on Aug. 4, 1940, at Jetmore, Kan.
