Josephine Frew, age 90 of Cozad, died May 29, 2008 at the Golden Living Center 
in Cozad.

Services will be held Monday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at the Cozad Christian Church 
with Jeremy Jech officiating.  Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery south 
of Cozad.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at the Berryman Funeral 
Home in Cozad. 

Survivors include a daughter, Lynda (Ken) Tomkins of Oregon; a sister, Ruby 
Spradlin of Cozad; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Johns of Houston, Texas; four 
grandchildren, Lorin, Gentry, Toby and Nick and two great-grandchildren, Erin 
and Jarad.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carollelea; a son, 
Jim; an infant brother, David and an infant sister, Sadie.

Josephine was born Dec. 12, 1917 at Wichita, Kan., to James and Josephine 
(Powers) Frew.  She graduated from Cozad High School in 1936.

In 1942, she married Orville Johnson at Cozad.
