Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church at Buffalo with Pastor Victor Rasmussen officiating.  Burial will be in the North Church Cemetery at Oconto.  He was born May 26, 1922, in Buffalo, to William and Clara (Knoop) Knispel.  Alfred attended North No. 16 rural school through the eighth grade and then attended Cozad High School.  He was baptized and confirmed in Buffalo Lutheran Church.  He was united in marriage to Dolores Kopf on March 22, 1944, at Buffalo.  Four children were blessed to this marriage; Clifford, Curtis, James and Garlyn.   Alfred and Dolores lived in the Buffalo, Eddyville and Sumner areas their entire lives prior to moving to York one year ago.  Alfred worked as a self- employed mechanic and helped other folks with his skills when he was needed.  Alfred was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church at Buffalo.    Survivors include his wife, Dolores Knispel of York; three sons, Clifford ( Shirlee) Knispel of Ogallala, Curtis (Linda ) Knispel of Kearney, James Knispel of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Garlyn (Ken) Beeman of Shelby; one brother, LaVerne “Bud” Knispel of Eddyville; one sister,  Elsie (Herbert) Struempler of Broken Bow; brother-in-law:,  Henry Struempler of Broken Bow; eight grandchildren, William James ( Samantha) Knispel; Tamara Knispel; John (Elizabeth) Knispel; Chad (Christy) Knispel; Darla (Stephan) Andersen; Ty (Trina) Knispel; Darci (Ki) Fanning and Brandon (Loree) Cain.   Alfred is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Arlene Struempler.  File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ne/dawson/obits/k/knispel412gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nefiles/ File size: 2.4 Kb
