Edward E. Kruse, age 94, of Cozad, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Cozad 
Community Hospital in Cozad. 

Services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Berryman 
Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Pastor Rodney Mohler officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery. Visitation 
will be held on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home 
in Cozad.

He was born March 20, 1916 at Brady to Everett and Gertrude (Younghans) Kruse. 
On Aug. 9, 1941, Ed married Jane K. Richards at Lexington. He was a lifetime 
farmer.

He was a member of the Eagles Club in Lexington and a lifetime member of the 
VFW.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Beth (Jesse) Guerra of Cozad; his son, Eddie 
(Sandy) Kruse of Port Charlotte, Fla.; brother, Lloyd (Billie) Pohl of 
Banning, Calif.; sister, Birdie (Ben) Lee of North Platte; nine grandchildren, 
Troy Kruse, Tony Guerra, Jay (Amber) Guerra, Mindy (Dusty) Paxton, Michelle 
and Melissa Kruse, Julius (Laura) Gruber, Kristy Gruber and Tina Clouse; 23 
great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jane in 2006; two sons, 
Randy and Mike; daughter, Connie; two brothers, Harvey and Wilb and three 
sisters, Mary Malcom, Hilda Wilcox and Margaret Fisher.
