William "Willie" Leahy, 38, of Sparks, Nev., formerly of Gothenburg, died May 
29, 2011 in his sleep at his home in Sparks. 

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Good 
Counsel Church in Gothenburg,

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at Our 
Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Gothenburg with Fr. Don O'Brien 
officiating.

Willie was born Nov. 23, 1972 in Cozad, the son of Michael and Sandra 
(Jorgensen) Leahy.

His family moved from Cozad to Gothenburg in 1984 where he attended school 
graduating from Gothenburg High School in 1991. 

He is survived by his father, Mike (Molly) Leahy of Lexington; mother, Sandy 
(Dick) Smith of Gothenburg; brother, Jeremy (Alyssa) Leahy and children - Liam 
and Layla; step-sister, Tina Goodenburger and children Grace and Faith; two 
step-brothers, Torrey Smith, Taun (Aengle) Smith and children Gauge and Tatum; 
half-sister, Angela Meredith and children Raul, Victoria and Miranda; step-
sister, Katie Skinner; step-brother, Ryan Skinner; special friends, Cody Doyle 
and Dave (Dawn) Watlers; his dogs, Luke and Susie and many other aunts, 
uncles, cousins and friends. 

Willie was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Carmeleta Leahy, 
Earl and Barbara Jorgensen, Mahlon and Nellie Smith.
