Maloley, 83, of Lexington, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Funeral Services will be Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church in Kearney with the Revs Christopher Morris and Philip Vreeland officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. with Military Honors at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington. Trisagion Service will be Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at 5 p.m. with visitation until 7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. He was born Dec. 9, 1927, on the home place southeast of Lexington in Dawson County to Fred and Julia (Saad) Maloley. George attended District No. 17 rural school. He was united in marriage to Lynda Gardner in December of 1959, at the United Methodist Church in Lexington. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Nick, Jody, Jeff and Skip. He served his country in the United States Army. George was a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Kearney as well as the American Legion and the Eagles Club. Survivors include three sons, Nick (Sandy) Maloley of North Glenn, Colo., Jeff (Stacy) Malooley of Kearney, Skip (Julie) Maloley of Omaha; one daughter, Jody Maloley of New Castle, Colo.; one sister, Sally (Jim) Meehan of Denver; three sisters-in-law, Marcia Maloley, Beverly Maloley and Kay Maloley all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren, Josh Boyce of Commerce City, Colo., Kaitlyn and Shaylee Maloley of New Castle, Jared and McKenna Maloley of Kearney, Madeline, Meredith, Samuel, Caroline, Clara, Jacob George and Zachary Maloley, all of Omaha and one great-grandson, Kayden Boyce of Commerce City. George was also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Esa, Anthony and Fay.
