Sara Elizabeth Thomas May, age 93 of Cozad, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008 in North 
Platte.

Funeral services were at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad on Sunday, 
Jan. 6.

The Rev. Lyle Shoen officiated.

Interment was a private family burial at Fort McPherson Cemetery in Maxwell, 
on Monday, Jan. 7. 

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wayman Elwood May of Cozad, and 
their five children, Cheryln Jean (Dale) Wahlgren of North Platte, Thomas 
Randall (Randy) May of Cozad, Ginny Lou May (Louis Skogen) of Las Cruces, N. 
M., Billye Jo Brockmeier of Kearney, and Robert (Jennie) May, of Keenesburg, 
Colo.; brother, Floyd (Gladys) Thomas of Fort Mill, S. C.; grandchildren, 
Lorri Lee (Scott) Goode, Daniel (Sandra) Wahlgren, Cici Jo Anderson, Robyn 
(Jeff) Huffman, Karrie (John) Tiarks , Amy (Boyd) Uehling, Cara (David) 
Cochran, Bret Brockmeier, and Zoe May; 13 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Andrew 
and Maggie Goode, Emmie Kate and Quinn Wahlgren, Will, Josie, Levi and Cole 
Huffman, Braden and Max Tiarks, and Alexsis and Caylee Cochran; and two 
sisters-in-law, Francis Thomas and Gladys Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers, Melvin, J.E., 
James, and Max, and a great grandbaby, Connor Goode.

She was born in Clover, S. C. on Jan. 14, 1914 to Joseph Ernest and Mary 
Elizabeth Greene Thomas.
