Ben McCammon, 89 of Lexington, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at the Tri-County 
Hospital in Lexington.

A Memorial Celebration will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the 
First United Methodist Church in Lexington with the Rev. Todd Karges 
officiating.  Inurnment will be held prior to the Memorial Service at 11:00 
a.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell.
  
It was Ben’s desire his body be cremated.

There will be no visitation.  Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in 
charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Velma (Banks) McCammon of Lexington; one brother, 
Dale (Dorothy) McCammon of Kearney and six nieces.

His parents; one sister, Ann Remus and one nephew, Michael Remus, preceded Ben 
in death.

He was born Aug. 10, 1918 in Holdrege to Warren Lee and Ruby Olive (McGeorge) 
McCammon.

Ben was united in marriage to Velma Banks on Oct. 26, 1945, in Seattle, Wash.
