Funeral Services will be Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor John Shields and the Rev. Caroline Vickery officiating.   Burial will be in the Robb Cemetery south of Lexington.   Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, from 4-7 p.m. at the Reynolds- Love Chapel in Lexington. Survivors include her husband of almost 70 years, William McCandless of Lexington; one son, Don (Linda) McCandless of Lexington; four daughters, Arlene (Larry) Reed of Lexington, Carol (Calvin) Stock of Lexington, Judy (Maurice) Andres of Cozad, Sharon (Michael) Gerken of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Paul (Mary Lou) Snyder of Pierce; three step-brothers, Harold Snyder of Sidney, Iowa, Leo Snyder of Washougal, Wash., Ed Snyder of Ellensburg, Wash.; four step-sisters, Fern Mingus of Lincoln, Eleanor Boyle of Oberlin, Kan., Donna Pitman of Bedford, Iowa, Betty Cook of Glenwood, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother; one brother, Don, one sister, Ruth and one infant sibling.   She was born April 25, 1923, at Bedford, Iowa, to Glen Weaver and Cassie Alma (Miller) Snyder.   Lucille attended school at Bedford and graduated from Bedford High School with the class of 1940. Prior to her graduation she was united in marriage to William McCandless on Oct. 7, 1939, at Hiawatha, Kan. The marriage was blessed with five children; Arlene, Carol, Judy, Don and Sharon.   Bill and Lucille moved to Lexington in 1952, where they owned and operated Frontier Café. They moved to the farm in 1964. During Lucille’s working years she worked at Dyke’s Café, Wally’s Café, The Sweet Shop, Camp Comeca, the Grand Generation Center and cooked at the Veteran’s Memorial Club for 13 years.
