McCoy, age 84 of Ft. Collins, Colo., formerly of Cozad, died March 9, 2011 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of the Rockies in Ft. Collins. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Christ The King Catholic Church in Cozad with Father Don O’Brien as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Christ The King Catholic Church in Cozad. Leo was born July 13, 1926 in Greeley Patrick and Kathleen (McCarthy) McCoy. He graduated from Greeley High School. On Aug. 14, 1945, he married Rosella Dreher in Grand Island. Their union was blessed with four children: Mary Lynn, Tom, Cynthia, and Terry. Leo is survived by his son, Tom (Kathy) McCoy of Cozad; two daughters, Mary Lynn Stenson of Republic, Kan., Cynthia Ann (Jeff) Walters of Ft. Collins; sister, Agnes Jarvis of Littleton, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Casey Vanatta, Jennifer Vanatta, Michael Stenson, David Stenson, Jon Stenson, Sarah Kunc, Michaella McCoy, Jason McCoy and Ryan McCoy; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. In addition to his wife, Leo was preceded in death by a son, Terry in 1985; son-in-law Gene Stenson in 2004; three brothers and one sister.
