Jimmie I. McKnight, age 55, of Grand Island died Jan. 19, 2008 at St. Francis 
Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be (today) Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at Abundant 
Life Christian Center in Grand Island with the Rev. Steve Warriner officiating.

Visitation was Tuesday at the Apfel Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Maria of Grand Island; a daughter, Anna Alarcon of 
Clovis, N. M.; four sons, Lee A. McKnight of Grand Island, Billy J. (Veronica) 
Claudio of Lincoln, Darren McKnight and Adrian McKnight, both of Grand Island; 
five grandchildren; his mother, Hazel McKnight of Grand Island; sister, 
Beverley (Jimmy) Hammond of Grand Island; his mother in law, Gleceria Espina 
of Grand Island; a niece and great nieces; and numerous aunts and uncles. 

His father, Elmer Lee McKnight; a son, Jim Christian McKnight and a nephew, 
Rocky Riesland, preceded him in death. 

Jimmie was born on Oct. 27, 1952 in Cozad, to Elmer Lee and Hazel June 
(Dishman) McKnight. 

He was united in marriage to Maria Dulay on Feb. 20, 1986 in Angeles City, 
Pampanga Philippines.
