Naprstek, 85, of Lexington, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at his home in Lexington. Funeral Services will be Monday, May 23, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Michael Gruhn officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 22, 2011, from 3-5 p.m. at the Reynolds- Love Chapel in Lexington. He was born Oct. 13, 1925, at Elba, to Edward V. and Anna (Novotony) Naprstek. Ed attended grade school at Elba and then Ord High School. Ed was united in marriage to Evelyn Oelkers on May 5, 1948, at Salem Lutheran Church. Two daughters were blessed to this marriage; Janice and Pamela. Survivors include one daughter, Pam (Steve) Cochran of Lexington; four grandchildren, Justin (Amy) Sunquist and Melissa (Keenan) Ford, all of Omaha, Jessica (Nick) Walter of Elwood, Kasey Cochran and special friend, Jaclyn Neve’ of Omaha; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter and Tanner Sunquist of Omaha, Corbin, Lexi and Isaiah Ford of Omaha and Jack and Sam Walter of Elwood and one sister, Marjorie Kearney of Overton. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn in 1999; one daughter, Janice Sunquist; two brothers, Milford and Frank Naprstek and two sisters, Venice Kugler and Alice Thinnes.
