Linda Mae Nelson, 65, Lincoln, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010.

Memorial services will be held Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Southwood
Lutheran Church, 9300 South 40th in Lincoln with Pastor Sara Spohr officiating. 

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington at a later date.

There will be no visitation as Linda was cremated.

Linda was born Dec. 21, 1944 in Arapahoe to Gordon R. and Verna Mae (Beyl)
Pittenger. 

She was formerly employed at NBC, Wells Fargo and Westgate banks. Linda attended
Southwood Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and
friends. She was an avid Nebraska Football fan and enjoyed her dogs, gardening
and jazzercise. 

Survivors include her family members, step-father, Oscar Ziebell; mother-in-law,
Myra Ringenberg, both of Lexington; husband, Dan B. Nelson of Lincoln; sons,
Brandan L. (Kristin) Nelson, Justin L. Nelson, all of Lincoln; grandchildren,
Chase Edward, Olivia Ann and Parks Davis Nelson; sister, Diana McCartney of
Chappell and sister-in-law, Dr. Lynn Ringenberg of Tampa, Fla. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gordon D. Pittenger;
brother-in-law, Richard McCartney; father-in-law, Roy A. Nelson and
step-father-in-law, Ed Ringenberg.
