Parks, 78, of Lexington, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. Funeral Services were Friday, March 6, 2009, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Nathan Rhea officiating.   Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.   Visitation was Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Survivors include three sons, David (Doris) Parks of Owatonna, Minn., Ron (Ginn) Parks of Lincoln, Dan (Terry) Parks of Rockville, Md.; two daughters, Lanette (Mark) Loseke of Kearney, Cheryl (David) Eakins of Kenosha, Wis., 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way.   Doris was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Garner, on April 28, 2008.  She was born Jan. 17, 1931, at Oxford, to Leland and Hazel (Strever) McInturf.   Doris graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1948. She went on to further her education at Midwestern School of Evangelism in Ottumwa, Iowa. She returned to Lexington following college and worked at Baumgartner’s 5 and 10.   She was united in marriage to Garner Parks on Aug. 21, 1965, at the Church of Christ in Lexington. Garner was a widowed father of five children and Doris raised these kids as her own.   Doris was an excellent seamstress. She sewed the men’s suits and ladies’ dresses for several of the children’s weddings. She was a wonderful cook and crocheted beautiful afghans for each member of the family.  Doris was a charter member of the Church of Christ. She was always very active in the church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and director of Vacation Bible School.
