Parks, age 81, of Lexington, died on Monday, April 28, 2008, at Shackley Retirement Vil-lage in Lexington. Funeral services were Friday, May 2 at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel with Nathan Rhea and David Eakins, Ministers officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1 at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel. Survivors include his wife, Doris Parks of Lexington; three sons, David (Doris) Parks of Owatonna, Minn., Ron (Ginn) Parks of Lincoln and Dan (Terry) Parks of Rockville, Md.; two daughters, Lanette (Mark) Loseke of Kearney and Cheryl (David) Eakins of Kenosha, Wis.; one sister, Elva Schager of York; forteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Cleone; and three sisters, Lillian, Evelyn and Bethel. Garner was born on May 4, 1926, at Juniata to Marvin Earl and Lora (Madsen) Parks. He graduated from Wood River High School with the class of 1944. On Nov. 28, 1948, he married Cleone White at Lexington. They moved to Lexington permanently in 1957. The couple were blessed with five children; David, Ron, Lanette, Cheryl and Dan. Cleone passed away April 15, 1965, and on August 21, 1965, he married Doris McInturf at Lexington.
