Marjorie June Paul, age 75, of Gothenburg, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 
after a long illness. 

Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Victory 
Assembly in Gothenburg with Pastor Mark Borchardt officiating. Inurnment will 
take place in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred L. Paul of Gothenburg; three sons, Eric 
(Sue) Van Meakins of Loveland, Colo., Carl L. Meakins of Waterloo, Iowa, John 
L. (Danita) Paul of Gothenburg; one daughter, Deborah L. (Michael) Bacon of 
Gothenburg, two step-daughters, Jody (Denney) Ovenden of Craig, Colo., Deborah 
L. Burns of Silva, N.C., two sisters, Bea Grass of Kearney and Mary Jane 
Springer of Kearney; six grandchildren, Lee (Diana) Ovenden of Ivins, Utah, 
Kim Brock (Critt) Shook of Silva, N.C., Seth (Emily) Bacon of Denver, Colo., 
Deric (Tiffany) Meakins of Memphis, Tenn., Angel (David) Kwiatkowski of Fort 
Collins, Colo., Tabitha Paul of Gothenburg; and four great-grandchildren, 
Jackson and Jude Meakins of Memphis, Tenn., Taylor Ovenden of Craig, Colo., 
and Addie Ovenden of Ivins, Utah; one nephew, Jerry (Hazel) Grass of Minden; 
and one niece, Linda (Craig) Nuttleman of Kearney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-son, Alfred P. Paul; two 
grandsons, Thadeus Van Meakins and Danny Ovenden and two brothers-in-law, 
Kenneth Grass and Leonard Springer.

Marge was born on June 13, 1932 to Van and Mildred (Osborne) Sandberg at 
Kearney. Marge grew up in Axtell and Kearney. She graduated from Kearney high 
svhool in 1950, where she was active in chorus and the drama club.

On May 28, 1960, Marge married Al Paul in Minden.
