Pitcher, 89, of Grand Island, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island.  Dan Naranjo will officiate.  Entombment of ashes will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.    There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home.  Mrs. Pitcher was born Aug. 4, 1920 on a farm near Cushing the daughter of Glenn and Viola (Hanisch) Paulsen.  She married Jim Pitcher Dec. 27, 1952 in Alliance.  He preceded her in death in 1990.  Irma graduated from Cushing High School in 1938 and St. Paul Business College in 1940.  She worked at several offices including the Hastings Tribune, Ordnance Plant, Lockhead Aircraft, Hodges Chevrolet in Lexington, Minden Beef, Hall County Election and Dramco Tool Company.  She enjoyed working puzzles, some television sports and playing cards with family and friends.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Grand Generation Center.  Irma was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors of the immediate family include sons, Michael (Audrey) Pitcher, Richard (Diana) Pitcher, Ken Pitcher, all of Grand Island, David (Mary) Pitcher of Kearney; daughter, Loretta Corcoran of Clovis, Calif.; brother Burt (Alvana) Paulsen; twin sister, Irene Pelican and sister-in-law, Ellen Paulsen.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Mark (Julie) Pitcher, Cathy (Luke) Gard, Andrew Pitcher, Ryan (Kelly) Pitcher, Cindy (Courtney) Harris, Mandy (Lee) Dobish, Katie (Chris) Lyon, Tina (Matt) Mitrione, Aimee Gong and Curtis Pitcher and 15 great-grandchildren.
