Lexington Clipper-Herald Sept. 16, 2009
Mary E. Ramirez, 80, of Lexington, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at Tri-County
Hospital in Lexington.
 
The family has honored Mary’s wishes that her body be cremated.  
 
A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the
Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Paul Colling officiating.  


There will be no visitation.

Inurnment will be held privately at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery.

Survivors include her two daughters, LaRae Ortiz and Semona Robinson, both of
Lexington; three grandchildren,  Melanie Grube of Kearney, Joseph Robinson of
Lexington, Tina Pawloski of San Diego, Calif.; three great-grandchildren,  Lacey
Saulsbury of Omaha and Trevor and Trey Grube of Kearney; one
great-great-granddaughter, Amiya Saulsbury of Omaha; two brothers,  Pete and
Jerry Ramirez of Oregon and two sisters,  Toni (Paul) Norden of Lexington and
Marge (Merle) Palmberg of St. Paul.  
 
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jessie; one nephew, Mark
and three infant sons. 
 
Mary was born April 27, 1929, at Gibbon to Marcelino and Marcelina Ramirez.  

Mary moved to Lexington as a young girl where she attended school.  Following
school she took in laundry, cleaned homes and worked in the fields.  She then
went to work at Westside Care Home taking care of the residents for over 25
years.
