Funeral Services were Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with the Revs. Aurilla Walker and Caroline Vickery officiating. Chapter GR P.E.O. ceremony will also be included in the service. The casket was closed. Burial was at Robb Cemetery south of Lexington. Visitation was held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. She was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Eugene and Wilhelmina (Tolson) Neville. Her father died when she was three years old and her mother remarried. She moved several times as a child and graduated from Ashley High School in Ashley, N.D., in 1949. Jeanette then went on to further her education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and this was where she met her life partner, Harley Richardson. The couple was married Nov.10, 1951, at Broken Bow. Following the couple’s marriage, Harley entered the service and was stationed in California. Jeanette worked for the Hearst Corporation while living in California. After moving a few times with Harley’s time in the military, their last station was Cheyenne, Wyo. This was where Jeanette started teaching. They moved to Lexington in 1956 and Jeanette taught for two years in Elwood and 29 years at Bryan Elementary in Lexington teaching third grade. She was active in the LEA, Delta Kappa Gamma, and enjoyed spending time with the retired teachers club. She was a member of St. Peter’s in the Valley Episcopal Church, Investment Club and Chapter GR P.E.O. Survivors include her husband: Harley Richardson of Lexington; one son, Jeff (Amy) Richardson of Kearney; two daughters, Terry (Scott) Tomasek of Omaha, Cindy Schmeeckle of Cozad; eight grandchildren, Mindy Allen of Kearney, Tucker Tomasek of Seattle, Wash., Chad Schmeeckle of Phoenix, Ariz., Trista Tomasek of Kansas City, Mo., Joe Richardson of Seward, Chris (Chelsea) Schmeeckle of Springfield, Mo., Gabby Schmeeckle of Cozad and Marcus Richardson of Omaha and three great- grandchildren, Vanessa, Jessica and Tommy Allen.
