Maria “Ema” Sanchez de Rodriguez, age 73, of Cozad, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 
at her home in Cozad.

Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berryman 
Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad.  Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery.    

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the 
Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.

Maria was born on June 21, 1937 at Durango, Mexico to Ascension Sanchez and 
Hermilia Ibarra.  She attended school in Durango, Mexico. 

On Sept. 15, 1944, she married Manuel Rodriguez del Rio at Juarez, Mexico.
The couple moved to Cozad in 1996 to be closer to family.

Maria is survived by her three sons, Rigoberto (Lorena) Rodriguez and Manuel 
Rodriguez, Jr., both of Cozad and Samuel Rodriguez of Mexico; four 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; one sister and a host 
of other relatives and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Manuel in 2005; a daughter, 
Maria; two grandchildren; a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
