Roepker, 78, of Lexington, formerly of Johnson Lake, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. Burial will be in the St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. He was born April 2, 1931, at St. Libory to Antone and Johanna (Grotz) Roepker. He attended school at St. Libory Catholic School. Kenneth was united in marriage to Beverly Burnett on Oct. 24, 1951, in Grand Island. Four children were blessed to this marriage; Michael, David, Susan and Cheryl. Kenneth and Beverly lived in Grand Island until 1976, when they moved to Gosper County near Elwood. He was a self-employed carpenter and then worked at Monroe’s in Cozad as a machinist. Kenneth was a member of the Eagles Club in Grand Island. Survivors include his two sons, Michael Roepker of Spokane, Wash., David (Vicky) Roepker of Meridian, Idaho; two daughters, Susan (Mark) Johnson of Bartlesville, Okla., Cheryl (Peter) Anderson of Renton, Wash.; one brother, Alfred Roepker of St. Libory; one sister, Marie (Bernard) Faber of Holstein; eight grandchildren, Meghan Roepker, John Benson, Wendy Crocker, Kirk Johnson, Melissa Anderson, Crystal Weast, Nicole Flores and Chad Roepker; five great- grandchildren, Faile Benson; Cy, Kiana and Maya Johnson; Caden Crocker; Justin Anderson, Sarah Stewart, Alyssa, Caleb and Owen Weast; Melody, Hailey and McKenzie Flores and numerous nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly in 1995; one sister, Genevieve and one brother, Arnold.
