Erika Joy Rowan, age 16, of Cozad died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 near Cozad as a 
result of a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services for Erika were conducted from the Trinity Lutheran Church in 
Lexington on Friday, Feb. 29 with Rev. Michael Gruhn officiating. Interment 
was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.

The Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege was in charge of arrangements.

Erika laid in state at the Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad on Thursday.

Survivors include her parents, Erik and Jackie (Debban) Rowan of Cozad; 
brother, Joshua Rowan of Kearney; grandparents, Esther Debban of Lexington, 
Maynard Rowan of Lexington and Brenda Smith of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and a host of 
aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Erika was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alan J. Debban.

She was born Sept. 23, 1991 at Lexington to Erik and Jackie (Debban) Rowan. 

Erika was baptized on Nov. 17, 1991 and confirmed on April 30, 2006 at Trinity 
Lutheran Church in Lexington.
