David Wietzke will officiate.    Additional services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hazelton, N.D.  Burial will be in the Braddock Cemetery at Braddock, N.D.   Mrs. Saville was born Nov.14, 1913 near Grimes, Iowa to Arthur and Estelle (Shively) Weiser.     Her husband Fred Saville preceded her in death in 1986.  In 1918 Mildred moved with her family to a farm near Hazelton, N.D. where she graduated from high school then attended Valley City Teachers College for two semesters.  Mildred taught rural schools in the former Williamsport District for four years before attending North Dakota State University for two years majoring in home economics.  On Oct. 10, 1937 she was united in marriage to Fred R. Saville at a home wedding.  The couple had five children, Dale, Duane, Curtis, Karen and Eileen.  They made their home on the Saville farm at Braddock, N.D. for the next 49 years.  Mildred was active in the community serving on the school board, being a 4-H leader for 30 years and belonging to the Wild Rose Extension Club for 49 years.  She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hazelton.  A retirement move by the couple was made to Lexington, NE in 1976.  In 1991 she moved to Grand Island to be near family members where she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.  Mildred enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, crocheting, reading, family history and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors of the immediate family are her children and their spouses, Dale (Sandra) Saville of Venezuela, Duane (Kay) Saville of Stockton, Calif., Curtis (Marilyn) Saville of Lexington, Karen (Ken) Marohl of Grand Island, Eileen (Rob) Aipperspach of Fargo, N.D. and brother, Robert Weiser of Hazelton, N.D; five sisters-in-law, Jan Weiser and Vernae Olmsted of Bismarck, N.D., Cora Weiser of Hazelton, N.D., Marvis Weiser of Fargo, N.D. and Doris Saville of Saline, Mich.; 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.   Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and seven Weiser brothers, Russell, Wayne, Virgil, Philip, Richard, Charles and Paul.  File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ne/dawson/obits/s/saville55gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nefiles/ File size: 3.0 Kb
