Snurr, 81, of Lexington, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington. The family has honored Clarence’s wishes that his body be cremated. Inurnment graveside services will be held at a later date due to grandchildren in the military. He was born Feb. 22, 1929, at Sumner, to Joseph and Rose (Fajmon) Snurr. The family lived on a farm near Sumner.  He attended Sumner and Lexington schools.  In 1944, the family moved to Lexington.  In 1946 they moved to Idaho.  Clarence returned to Lexington where he drove truck for the Hay Mill, worked for CO-OP, Crozier Ford and Hodges Auto as a mechanic. In 1959, he was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Victor Jordening.  On March 15, 1959, he married Maxine Schutz at Lexington.  Survivors include his wife, Maxine Snurr of Lexington; son, Bradley (Deanna) Snurr of Sedalia, Mo.; daughter, Lorie (John) Vowers of Dix; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Ruth (Dick) Carr of Lexington; one brother, Leonard (Edna) Snurr of Lincoln as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Margaret and one brother, Edward.
