Lila R. Stapp, age 102, of Cozad, died Wednesday, Aug.10, 2011 at the Golden 
Living Care Center.

Lila was born Aug. 17, 1909 at Audrain County, Mo., to Charlie and Carrie 
(Slavens) Scott.  She attended rural school in Missouri.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug.15, 2011, at the Berryman 
Funeral Home in Cozad.  Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery at 
Cambridge.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the 
Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad.

On Sept. 12, 1929, Lila married Lewis Stapp at McCook.  Lila and Lewis were 
blessed with two children, Virginia and Maxine.  Mr. Stapp preceded her in 
death in July of 1976.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Parrish of Cozad; five grandchildren, 
Mike Seaman, Eric Seaman, Alan Seaman, Scott Kloepping and Keri Rodine; seven 
great-grandchildren, Tucker Seaman, Dillon Seaman, Mandy Seaman, Ryan Seaman, 
Cora-Leigh Seaman, Hanna Rodine and Caleb Rodine and two great-great 
grandchildren, Abigail and Alexa.

In addition to her husband, Lila was preceded in death by an infant son; her 
daughter, Maxine Kloepping; brother, Harold Scott and three sisters, Eva 
Elston, Virgie Corns and Linnie Stoll.
