Stewart, 88, of Lexington, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Tri- County Hospital in Lexington. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Jorge Canela officiating.   Burial will be in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery with full Military Honors.   Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. with Wake to follow at 7:00 p.m. all at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.  Stanley was born Dec. 15, 1921, at Sumner to Mervin and June (Falk) Stewart. He was a graduate of Sumner High School. Stan was a veteran of WWII, serving under General Patton in North Africa, Italy, Corsica and Sicily. He received the Purple Heart and Combat Infantry badge.  Upon returning from war, he married Marjorie Britton of Lexington on May 27, 1946. To this union were born three children, Lynda, Peggy and John.   He was a respected building contractor, building many local homes, churches and commercial buildings. He was an active member of the Lexington business community and not to be forgotten his love for golf.   Stanley was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Stan was also a 65-year member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
